Plenty of room for all as Renault roll out new Megane Grand Coupé
Renault has just globally unveiled the new Megane Grand Coupe.
The five-seater 4dr is coming down the line - as the new Megane hatchback version has just recently gone on sale here.
The new car can, Renault say, take five passengers - with loads of rear-seat space - and has spec and tech levels on a par with cars from a segment above.
The boot extends to 508 litres and there is a hands-free 'Easy Boot Access' system.
While there is no indication of price and trim levels for here, there is likely to be a 7ins colour TFT panel, 8.7ins multimedia tablet, R-Link 2, Multi-Sense, Easy Park Assist etc on the menu. Among the safety elements are Advanced Emergency Braking System.
There will be two diesels for the Irish market:
* a dCi 110 with a 6spd manual gearbox or the EDC 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
* And a dCi 130 with 6spd manual transmission.
Pricing for the existing Megane hatchback starts at €19,490 for the petrol version with diesels beginning at €21,490 (dCi 110bhp). There is 3pc APR, road side assist and 5-year warranty.
The new Coupé will be made at the company's Bursa plant in Turkey.
