Peugeot's little 108 – the 'personal' micro-mini

PEUGEOT'S new micro-mini, the 108, gets here this summer after an unveiling next month at the Geneva Motor Show. There will be a 3dr, 5dr and convertible.
You can also 'completely personalise' the car, the French maker says, with seven themes, six trims, three cabin 'ambiences' and eight colours.
And it will be well connected with MirrorLinkTM technology in a Peugeot for the first time.
It is 3.47m long,1.62m wide and weighs just 840kg. Should be handy for getting around town and parking with a turning radius of just 4.80m.
There is a 196-litre boot – with up to 750 litres if the 50/50 rear seat backrests are folded.
One spec up from entry-level has a 7ins touch screen (like in the new 308). The mirror screen, using MirrorLinkTM technology, means the screen becomes a mirror image of any smartphone using Android, Windows, RIM or iOS. So you can operate the smartphone from the car's touch screen.
There are four 3cyl engines: a 1.0 e-VTi 68 5spd manual, (88g/km CO2), a 1.0 VTi 68 5spd manual, (95g/km CO2), 1.0 VTi 68 5spd electronic, (97g/km CO2) and a new Puretech 1.2 VTi 82 with 5-spd manual (99g/km CO2).
Six airbags are standard as are LED daytime running lights, hill assist and indirect tyre under-inflation detection system.
Prices and specs will be announced nearer to the summer arrival.
