THE new Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4, the world's first diesel-electric hybrid, is now available to pre-order, with full prices and specifications just announced for the multi-award-winning vehicle. It will be previewed at Peugeot dealerships in February, ahead of its April launch.

This car introduces a combination of diesel and electric power, a real breakthrough in technology, offering up to 200bhp and four driving modes: Automatic; all-electric Zero Emissions; Sport and 4WD modes. The vehicle delivers savings, thanks to low CO2 and consumption of up to 74mpg (3.8 litres/100km).

The 3008 HYbrid4 2.0 HDi 99g 200bhp version emits just 99g/km CO2. It will retail from €36,995, plus dealer delivery-related charges, and qualifies for Band A road tax of €160.

Standard equipment will include alarm and deadlocks, cruise control and speed limiter, climate-control bi-zone air con, 16-inch alloys, automatic headlights and wipers, front and rear electric windows, electric child locks and rear parking sensors.

A second version, emitting 104g/km CO2 and also qualifying for Band A road tax of €160, will retail from €38,695 and gains additional standard equipment: a two-screen video pack, side rear sunblinds, a Head Up display with Distance Alert, 17-inch alloys and satellite navigation.

Voted Diesel Car Magazine's Best Eco Car of the Year 2011, Peugeot's HYbrid4 also won a 2011 What Car? Green Car award.

The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 qualifies for a government rebate of €1,500 up to the end of 2012. Prices quoted include the rebate.
