MY SIDE OF THE ROAD

Eddie Cunningham

Eddie Cunningham

I've been in a number of new and used cars over the past couple of weeks and one thing above everything else stood out.

Seats.

Obvious.

Basic.

Overlooked.

I got out of a couple realising that I would not be able to own them because they did not suit my ould back, were badly designed, didn't have real lumbar support, didn't have enough adjustment, etc.

So if you are buying new (132-reg?) or second-hand, do yourself a favour. Put aside all the talk and thought of having a newer car and think of all the mornings, noons and nights you'll plop your frame into that seat and feel the benefit or curse of it. You'd be surprised at how 30 minutes sitting in a car can affect your perception of it.
