MINI set to bulk up
THE new platform on which the new MINI is built is flexible enough to make bigger derivatives.
It will give "scope to be far more adventurous" on derivatives, sales and marketing chief Ian Robertson predicts. And that could mean something bigger than the current Mini Countryman SUV.
He says the small-car segment is growing at twice the speed of others. At 4m 17cm the Countryman is large by MINI standards but Mr Roberston says sales show there is demand and that they can do more. He says there are "areas we can explore".
