Mercedes recalls 906 cars over steering concerns
MORE than 900 Mercedes cars are being recalled here.
It is being described as a precautionary measure to check if a power-steering pipe has been installed to the correct torque setting.
C-Class and E-Class models produced between June 2009 and February 2010 are potentially affected.
It is expected that as few as 1pc will need a correction.
In all, 906 owners are being contacted and asked to go to their dealer for a free check and, where necessary, correction.
Where a check and correction are required, the time involved should be less than 30 minutes.
The marque is recalling 22,355 C-Class and E-Class cars in the UK.
