Man (21) shot with pellet gun in Traveller family feud

A YOUNG man was hospitalised last night after being shot in an ongoing family feud.
The 21-year-old man was shot a number of times with what was believed to be a pellet gun at a petrol station in Moneen, Castlebar, in Co Mayo.
It is understood the man was targeted as part of an ongoing feud between Traveller families.
The man was shot several times by another man after he came out of the station's shop and went to get into his van to drive away.
He was taken to Mayo General Hospital for treatment after the incident occurred at around 5pm but the injuries he sustained were not believed to be life threatening.
The petrol station was cordoned off by gardai for technical examination.
