KIA bring in their new Sportswagon
KIA's new cee'd Sportswagon (estate) goes on sale here tomorrow.
There are two diesel engines (1.4-litre and 1.6-litre), each in the lowest road tax band. It is longer and taller than the old one and has more cabin and boot space.
Prices, excluding delivery and related charges, start from €21,795.
Like the second-generation five-door hatchback, the Kia cee'd Sportswagon is more sophisticated, more efficient, more refined and delivers a more engaging driving experience than its predecessor.
Cargo space is 39pc bigger than the cee'd 5dr hatch (528 litres v 380 litres).
There are two trim/engine choices: entry level TX and EX, with each trim available in 1.4-litre diesel and 1.6-litre diesel guise.
Standard equipment includes air-con, Bluetooth, audio remote controls, electric mirrors, 6spd transmission, ESP, Hill Assist Control to prevent roll-back, six airbags and emergency stop signal.
Kia expects the EX to be the most popular choice. It adds 16-inch alloys, cruise control, flex steering system, electric windows, front fogs, LED lights and rear parking sensors.
The 1.4-litre diesel (89hp) emits 109g/km with the 1.6-litre (126bhp) on 100g/km.
