High hopes for low emission Lexus

LEXUS will bring its compact CT 200h hybrid here in time for the January sales amid expectations that downsizing will place a new focus on cars of this size and emissions category.
It expects CO2 figures of just 89g/km or 96g/km depending on grade – or road tax of just €104 – on projected average consumption of 3.8l/100km (74.3 mpg).
Helping it to such low levels is its ability to travel with zero emissions while running on electric power only. If you want the best for the economy there is an Eco mode but if you like a bit of zip there’s Sports for performance.
The CT 200h will go on display in Paris and arrives here in November to show its prowess. First deliveries are due to begin early next year.
