LAST week we brought you pictures and details of the next Skoda Octavia.
They have lost no time in getting it on to a production line, as this picture shows it being built at the Mlada Boleslav plant in the Czech Republic.
It reaches here in early March, and Skoda says prices will start at under €19,500 for the 1.2-litre (86bhp) TSI.
The 'greenest' version in the range will be the 1.6-litre TDI which has claimed emissions of 89g/km and sips a mere 3.4 litres of diesel for every 100km it travels.
There will be manual and automatic DSG transmissions, and Skoda has confirmed that all-wheel-drive and performance RS versions will also be available.
