Daihatsu to stop sales in 2013
Daihatsu is to stop selling new cars here from January 2013.
However, the distributors here insist that after-sales service, including spare parts supply and manufacturer's warranty, will continue.
The decision comes in the face of the expense of meeting future European automobile regulations and the euro's plunge against the Japanese yen.
Daihatsu Ireland, the distributors here, said it was 'saddened' by the news as the vehicles had been extremely reliable and provided small-car economy.
