Dacia takes new Step with crossover
DACIA has just brought in its crossover Sandero Stepway as it expands its model line-up.
This is based on the Sandero supermini but has raised ride height, gives puffed out black wheel arch extensions (16ins wheels), side sills and front and rear scuff plates to make it look like a muscular SUV.
It has a minimum 207mm of ground clearance and underbody protection.
They say there is room for five adults, and a boot of 320 litres. It costs from €12,290 with delivery and related charges are extra.
Engines include the three-cylinder TCe 90 petrol (90bhp). They claim it can do 5.4 l/100km (56.5 mpg) and it has emissions of 124g/km. Also here is the 1.5-litre dCi 90 diesel engine (4 l/100km, 105g/km)
There are two trim levels: Alternative or Signature. Standard equipment includes four airbags, daytime running lights, ISOFIX points for child seats, 60/40 split folding rear seat, front fogs, electric front windows, radio with CD, MP3, USB and Bluetooth.
Signature adds cruise control and speed limiter, rear parking sensors, 7-function on-board computer, manual air con and electric windows.
There is a three-year/ 100,000km warranty which can be extended to five years unlimited mileage for €369.
There is also a finance deal which means the Stepway costs €129 per month.
