First 5dr MINI to cost €740 more than 3dr hatch
The first 5dr MINI will be here by autumn and will cost from €23,270 – or €740 more than the 3dr hatch.
Apart from the obvious facility of two extra doors, there is 72mm more rear legroom and 67 litres extra (278) in the boot as well as a tad more headroom.
The 5dr is 161mm longer (3,982mm), is the same width (727mm) and just 11mm taller (1,425mm), |but the wheelbase is extended by 72mm (to 2,567mm). Track is unchanged.
They are also bringing out a new Cooper SD engine to coincide with the 5dr, in addition to the petrols and diesels they already have.
This is a mighty |powerful 170bhp 2-litre 4cyl diesel and you can have a 6spd manual or automatic with it.
Standard spec includes USB interface and Bluetooth, electric exterior mirrors, front fogs and air con.
Options include two-zone auto air con, heated front seats, panoramic glass roof, rain sensors and a Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system and Park Distance Control are also included.
The Cooper S 5dr and Cooper SD 5dr have sport seats as standard (options on others).
