€39,500 raised for the Irish Youth Foundation in Golf classic
The inaugural event sponsored by Jaguar Ireland was a huge success
Over 104 golfers took to the course at The K-Club for the Inaugural Jaguar Golf Classic in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation.
In keeping with the 4 July theme, and as this is a Ryder Cup year, there was a strong Independence Day and Ryder Cup link to the event with the 26 teams divided into team USA and team Europe.
Blue chip companies representing Team USA on this special day included Facebook, Oracle, State Street, Accenture and Mercer.
Europe was well represented by companies such as Communicorp, IIU, Sky, Allianz, Core HR, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and RFC Executive.
Over €39,500 was raised through the event and an auction and raffle post-18 , and all funds will go to supporting Irish Youth Foundation funded projects for at-risk and disadvantaged children in Ireland.
The IYF is an independent charitable trust dedicated to meeting the needs of vulnerable children and young people living in disadvantaged circumstances on Ireland. The Foundation provides financial support in the form of grants to local community and voluntary youth groups working with at-risk and disadvantaged children, such as afterschool and homework clubs, summer programmes, sporting clubs, creative education projects and active citizenship activities. These groups provide safe places where children can go after school – to grow, to learn and to play
