PEUGEOT will give world and European debuts to two cars at the Goodwood Moving Motor Show later this month.
Making its global premiere will be their new 308GTi performance model - a rival for the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus ST hot hatches.
Details are scant about the new car at this stage but it is widely expected that it will be powered by the 1.6-litre THP 266bhp turbo from Peugeot's RCZ-R sports car.
It is expected that the high-performance GTi will go on sale later this year or early in 2016 and it should add further spice to a segment of the market that draws real enthusiasts.
Also making its first appearance in Europe will be the barnstorming 308 R HYbrid (pictured).
This has a massive 500bhp at its disposal.
Peugeot are making a bit of a 'car show' of the event which runs on Thursday, June 25.
They will also have the 'warm' 308 GT 205 THP hatchback, the 308 GT Line PureTech 1.2-litre and the 208 'GTi by Peugeot Sport' on display.
It is a real boost for the show that the likes of Peugeot are singling it out for such major debuts.
