VOLVO will build a $500m factory in South Carolina to help boost its attempt to sell more cars in the North American premium market.
They will start building the factory in Berkeley County this year and cars are expected to start rolling off the production line by 2018.
They expect to make 100,000 cars a year quite soon after that.
Owned by China giant Geely, the factory is part of a huge push to re-establish the brand globally.
