Thanks a million: Lexus hits its hybrid sales milestone

A million people have bought a Lexus hybrid since the first one went on sale in April 2005.
That was when the first full-hybrid premium SUV, the RX 400h, was unveiled.
Now there are 10 hybrid models and I've no doubt plenty more are planned.
Hybrid isn't solely about fuel-sipping, you know; the engine/battery/electric-motor mix can be tuned for high- performance too as, indeed, some recent models from the brand have shown.
Europe is the largest hybrid market for the marque.
Hybrids account for 64pc of all its cars sold here. In the case of western Europe that spirals to 95pc.
