Surf's up for the Vivaro concept
Opel are close to making this Surf Concept Vivaro into a production vehicle that would carry six people in its crew cab as well as large loads and equipment. It will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week.
It has a 140bhp 1.6-litre BiTurbo CDTI diesel and an air suspension system that reduces its height by 7cm to 1.9 metres.
That, they reckon, should permit entry to most multi-storey car parks.
There is a separate cargo area (3.2-cubic metre capacity, or 4-cubic metre long-wheelbase version).
If you are using it for pleasure, there's loads of room for bicycles or surfboards - whatever it is that fills your spare time.
It should be easy enough on the fuel with consumption claimed to be 6.1 litres of diesel every 100km.
They claim the air suspension on the rear axle will make it much more comfortable for people to travel in.
