Record number of buyers eye used cars
Here at 'Motors' we are getting record numbers of queries from people asking about buying a used car this month or next.
As autumn and school beckon, there seems to be a high level of pent-up demand for good used cars.
And by all accounts there seems to be a spread of fresh cars to choose from on the forecourts.
It appears that lots of people are coming to the realisation that their current cars are at a stage where the prospect of repairs and costly parts' replacements are making change almost imperative.
That is especially the case with winter coming. And so, quite suddenly for some, they face the prospect of spending money, or borrowing it, on a newer car for the first time in many, many years.
It is a theme of several enquiries that people who just could not afford to change for so long now feel they have no option.
A big question for many of them is what to do with their old cars.
Today, in response to the unusual level of queries, we publish two pieces of advice on what to do.
We hope you find them of use.
