PSA to publish 'real world' figures on fuel economy
THE PSA (Peugeot-Citroen) group says it will publish real-world diesel economy figures that have been vetted by an independent source.
The promise follows Volkswagen's admission it installed software in up to 11 million diesel engines, designed to fool official emissions testers.
VW's admission has raised questions about both CO2 and NOx emissions.
The PSA's pledge comes as the EU is pushing for real-world testing to start in 2017. Its industrial policy head Elzbieta Bienkowska wants a tougher system of emission tests. But it is reported that a battle looms within the EU on how strict the parameters should be.
