Mercedes plan PCP deal for all models this autumn

As an indication of how the whole car 'buying' process is changing, Mercedes have revealed they are going all-out with Personal Contract Plans (PCPs) from this September.
At the moment their PCPs are restricted in the main to deals involving their A-Class and B-Class models.
But now they plan to have such a facility for all their models, it has been learned.
On the basis of how some of their key rivals have got on with PCPs over the past couple of years especially, Mercedes are justifiably expecting quite a significant take-up in demand.
It is worth noting that the critical guaranteed future value of the models in their PCP deals will be backed by the distributors here, MDL, and not individual dealers.
And finance will be with the Bank of Ireland.
PCPs are regarded as one of the key drivers in the upturn of new-car registrations over the past two years.
Virtually every carmaker now has a deal of one sort or another in their locker.
The trend has taken the focus off ownership and replaced it with 'user-ship', though it is not necessarily a right fit for every buyer.
