How Ford has knocked down price of spare wheel

We are still getting a lot of correspondence on spare wheels - or lack of them - but the price of having one stowed in the boot after you buy a new car seems to be plunging.
Fewer carmakers are supplying them as standard because their weight can tip a vehicle's emissions into a higher VRT or road-tax category.
But most dealers will have one for you for a reasonable price, many costing from €80 to €150 depending on dealer and model.
However, those figures are well and truly stumped by what Ford are charging for a full-sized spare wheel on their new upmarket Mondeo Vignale.
They officially quote the price at €35.
