Another move in the fast-developing world of car-sharing came last week when Sixt Leasing Ireland launched the first corporate service in Ireland.

This is an innovative mobility solution for professionals who need a flexible and premium method of transportation.

This service, which has been successfully implemented in German cities such as Berlin or Munich, promotes smarter and more efficient car fleets.

Sixt Corporate CarSharing provides companies with a central control system to allocate vehicles based on the needs of their business.

Through an intuitive fleet management service, an employee can register and use various Peugeot models, including electric ones, for work-related day trips, direct travel between business locations or for private use.

This way, Sixt Corporate CarSharing is offering an expansion of professionals' mobility with up to 30pc savings in fleet costs, as well as an independent, flexible pick up and drops 24/7 in numerous car stations. How does it work?

Registered employees receive an RFID chip card, and they book and schedule the use of a car as they would a meeting room. Cars are opened with the chip cards and the black box in the car talks to the central management system tracking the situation of the car and scheduled bookings. The stations are created depending on companies' needs.
