10 hopefuls 'apply' for €350K supercar
Money is no object for 10 wealthy Irish hopefuls who have put their name down for Ford's €350,000+ GT super-car.
'Independent Motors' understands that's the number of Irish people who have asked to be placed on the list for the 600bhp powerhouse.
It doesn't mean any, or all, will get one. Ford is only making 500 of them over the next two years. And demand globally has been phenomenal.
As well as all that there is a tough vetting procedure. You have to be 'passed fit' to have any hope of being considered. As revealed in 'Motors' previously, it involves going through a rigorous application 'interview'.
Among the areas asked about are your current involvement with the car-maker and its motorsports activities.
If you negotiate all questions successfully and are lucky enough to make the '500 list', a Ford GT Concierge Service will guide you through the ordering process.
The first models are expected to arrive in Europe - and hopefully Ireland - next year.
