Motoring Editor on jury of World Car
THE Motoring Editor of the Irish Independent, Eddie Cunningham (pictured) has been appointed to the jury of the prestigious World Car Awards.
He will be the only Irish representative on the elite jury of expert motoring journalists from all over the world.
Their duties include driving and assessing cars from all over the world before, ultimately, voting for the overall World Car of the Year.
The World Car Awards is the Number One programme of its type across the globe, according to an independent audit of media coverage.
Mr Cunningham said he felt privileged to be on the jury and looked forward to bringing readers even more motoring news items.
He succeeds Padraic Deane, publisher at Automotive Publications as the Irish juror. Mr Deane stepped down last year after a six-year term.
He remains Ireland's juror for the International Engine of the Year awards.
