HYUNDAI have given us a glimpse of their new i20 supermini which will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
Designed at the brand’s European centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, it is significantly sharper and smarter looking.
However, there isn’t much by way of technical details for the model that will compete for buyers with the likes of the Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo.
Hyundai say there is enough room for five inside and reports suggest there will be a new central infotainment screen and redesigned front fascia.
Much of the current engine range is expected to be carried on, obviously revised and upgraded. That should mean a 1.2-litre petrol and possible a couple of versions of the 1.4-litre diesel.
There is speculation too that we will see the 1-litre petrol.
The second-generation i20 is scheduled to go on sale early in 2015.
