THIS is the 'nearly ready' new BMW M5.
Technically it is the concept car version of the next M5 but it is expected to be fairly close to what goes on sale later in the year.
As ever, there are always going to be changes. But while final performance details have yet to be officially announced, it is expected that the 'high-revving' turbocharged V8 will pass the previous version's 500bhp mark.
Of course, it will have better economy and lower emissions.
There will be a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard as well as a stop/ start system. Experts and observers are saying you can expect it to shoot from a standing start to 100kmh in around 4.5 seconds and continue to an electronically limited top speed of 248kmh.
