There’s a spotlight on lace this season as it tells a compelling feminine story. Vintage style, it’s sheer and fine, or thick in luxurious guipure. Give it a modern twist with arty cutwork.

The Amy factor

This week we witnessed yet again the instantaneous impact that Amy Huberman has on the Irish retail scene when she wore a Lennon Courtney jumpsuit in LA - it sold out in record time. Here's a preview of her new shoe designs for her Bourbon SS16 collection available from stores nationwide. For list of stockists, contact or Buddha Brand Industry at Shoe City, Dundalk Road, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, (042) 974 3957

Personal touch

Maria Parsons had a very personal reason for wanting to create a 1916 jewellery collection for men and women - one of her grandads worked in the GPO in 1916 and the other worked in Boland's Mill. Prices start at €59 and include cufflinks with an image of the Proclamation on one and Padraig Pearse on the other.
