Bubbling cauldrons, pointed hats and large broomsticks might be items we associate with witches, but you won't find any of them in Patricia Weston's Skerries home.
Lusk native Patricia used to work as a freelance journalist, but when the recession hit, she decided it was time to follow her true passion in life.
"I work from the 'Witch's House', a seven-sided building with a pointed roof beside my house, where I cast spells and meditate. It's filled with the healing energy of angels," she said.
The mother of one says since today is Halloween, the veil between or world and the spirit world is thin.
"They're everywhere, especially coming up to Samhain. The veil between the spiritual world and the material world is thinner, so it's easier to see them.
"We all have angels and guides with us. We're never alone. We don't walk alone."
To celebrate Samhain, Patricia, who isn't a member of a coven, will be in her seven-cornered witch's house casting positive spells for people in her life.
"I will send love and healing to loved ones who have passed over in spirit and any angels," she said.
