West Cork Literary Festival will present An Evening with Graham Norton on Friday, July 17, while its exciting line-up of writers includes David Nicholls, Rachel Cusk, Kevin Barry, John Boyne and Sara Baume.

The festival runs in Bantry, Co Cork, from today until Saturday July 18.


Galway International Arts Festival has a spectacular line-up of performers including musicians Damien Rice and John Spillane, comedians Al Porter and The Rubberbandits, with a stage performance by Olwen Fouere, and new plays by Frank McGuinness and Amy Conroy. It runs from tomorrow until Sunday July 26.


Star cellist Leonard Elschenbroich performs Elgar Cello Concerto with RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and conductor John Wilson, and Schubert String Quintet with RTÉ Contempo Quartet at Galway International Arts Festival. Friday July 17, 6pm (Elgar),and Saturday July 18, 1pm (Schubert).



Longitude will return to Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, with a bang on Friday, with the three-day music festival including performances by Ibeyi, Hozier, The Chemical Brothers and Alt-J but to name a few. All under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18. Gluten free/vegetarian/vegan food options will be available.


Ireland's biggest free summer festival Layla City Spectacular celebrates 10 years and takes place in Merrion Square from Friday July 10 to Sunday July 12, and in Cork's Fitzgerald Park next weekend, from July 18 to 19. Fun and entertainment for the whole family.
