After three years on Broadway and two years in the West End, a Grammy Award and eight Tony Awards, the musical Once, with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, is now at the Olympia Theatre until August 22. A touching love story, starring Megan Riordan and Tom Parsons.


Time, an exhibition of paintings by Clare Hartigan, will run at Duke Street Gallery, 17 Duke Street, Dublin 2, until 31 July. Hartigan's exhibition aims to examine the qualities of time we experience, how we experience the passing of our time, and she creates a dynamic sense of movement in her work.


A fundraiser for the students involved in the Berkeley accident will take place on Thursday July 23 at The Academy, Middle Abbey Street, 7.30pm, with Nicky Byrne as MC. Performers include Jape, Vann Music, Knights of Leon, Jessica Smith and Heroes.


Sligo Jazz Festival will run in Hawk's Well Theatre and various Sligo venues from Tuesday July 21 to Sunday July 26, and the line-up includes Dhafer Youssef, Chuck Rainey, Liane Carroll, The Impossible Gentlemen and Dublin City Jazz Orchestra. Also workshops, masterclasses and jam sessions.


Knockanstockan Festival at Blessington Lakes in Co. Wicklow next Friday and Saturday July 25, will see the countryside vibrate with glorious music, with a line-up which includes Loah, The Eskies, O Emperor, Rusangano Family, and No Spill Blood. Plus performance art and family activities
