Music, merriment, and mind-blowing memories in the wooded wonderland that is Charleville Castle in Tullamore have been promised by the Castlepalooza Music and Arts Festival, which continues today. Performers include Fight Like Apes and Jape.

Kilkenny Arts Festival runs from Friday August 7 to Sunday August 16, with music, theatre, literature, talks and exhibitions. Performers include soprano Kim Sheehan in The Human Voice by Francis Poulenc, a one-act opera based on Jean Cocteau's play about a desperate young woman trying to reconnect with her lover.


Birr Vintage Week and Arts Festival will run until August 7, when the County Offaly Georgian town will celebrate the arrival of motorised vehicles of all kinds, with displays of vintage Rolls-Royces and motorbikes, early tractors and other farm machinery.


Disco icons Boney M, featuring singer Maizie Williams who was part of the original band formed in 1975, and three dymanic new singers, will perform at Sligo Summer Festival on Friday August 7. American rock group Wheatus, will perform on Saturday August 8.


Enniscorthy Rockin' Food Fest in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, continues today and tomorrow with talented chefs from across the South East cooking up a storm. Rock n' roll concerts will also be performed on stages, and events include the 2nd annual All-Ireland Competition for The Best 1950's Classic Car.
