Ailish Tynan, soprano, and The Callino Quartet will perform Josef Haydn's String Quartet in C Op.54 No. 2, and Arnold Schoenberg's String Quartet No.2 Op.10, today at noon at the Hugh Lane Gallery, Charlemont House, Parnell Square North, Free admission.


Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was published 150 years ago, and to celebrate this anniversary, Tom Mathews, our very own cartoonist, has produced a series of dazzling paintings with his own surreal approach. The show runs at Ranelagh Arts Centre, Dublin, until May 2.


Wilderness is a photographic art exhibition by photographer Agata Stoinska and art director Eddie Shanahan, which celebrates the craftsmanship of a group of designers, weavers, goldsmiths, ceramicists, knitters, leatherworkers and milliners, at Gallery Zozimus, Francis Street, until April 25.


Nadia Forde and Miriam O'Callaghan launched the charity shopping event with Console which will take place in Dundrum Town Centre from Friday April 24 to Sunday April 26 - customers can purchase a Shop for Good coupon in the Centre, which can be used to avail of discounts in stores and restaurants. All proceeds to the charity.


Eight 10-minute plays inspired by paintings in the National Gallery have been created by four Irish playwrights, Michael Casey, Gerard Dalton, Celia de Fréine, Michael O'Meara and will be performed on Saturday April 25 from 2.30pm to 5.00pm by the Umbrella Theatre Company, in the National Gallery's lecture theatre.
