Six bedrooms, five bathrooms, four living rooms. Just the one cinema, though. Ashleigh House - in the Corbally townland of Celbridge is a Georgian style top-end let, but carrying a rental price not out of kilter with a three-bed mews in Dublin City.
Such is the ongoing disparity between the capital and the rest of the country, that it seems incredible and more than a little unsettling that this is what you can get for your money less than 30km from Grafton Street.
Mind you, it might not suit the uber-slick IT executives who want to cycle to their multi-national workplace, juggling the latest iPhone and a mocha soy latte, but there's a family, possibly commuting from abroad, who will hoover up the scenery and solitude a grand manor house in horsey country can bring. Try getting that so near to London, Amsterdam or Rome.
With electric gates and a traditional sweeping driveway, nobody's going to be looking over your shoulder while you're doing the gardening.
A south-facing terrace to the rear can be accessed from both the dining room and kitchen.
The latter is large and bespoke with a granite-topped island unit and full set of appliances along with a dual oven Aga. It has a utility room and boot room with shower to cater for muddy entrants.
To get there, you need to navigate the lovely hallway with its solid oak polished floor, marble fireplace and curved staircase.
Throughout, there are high ceilings, chandeliers, sash windows and ceiling features.
Reception rooms include a dining room with double doors to a large patio, a drawing room with two fireplaces and a study/office which would suit working from home.
Upstairs are four bedrooms on the first floor, all ensuite and another two on the upper storey, one of which is ensuite. The home cinema had been installed on this level but this area could also be utilised as a den or entertainment/games room, especially if you want to keep teenagers out of the way.
The gardens are landscaped, overlooking fenced paddocks. Adjacent to the main house is a two-storey detached guest house with a living room, kitchen and two bedrooms which are both ensuite. Great for visitors, or staff.
The agent is expectant of a corporate lease, as would be common at this level.
