Three-bed semi down by the river
Forest Hill, Carrigaline, Co Cork

There is one home remaining in the current phase of Forest Hill, a development south of Carrigaline town centre that overlooks the meandering Owenabue river.
An estuary walk on the banks of the Owenabue that was once a railway line goes from Carrigaline to the picturesque sailing village of Crosshaven.
Astra Construction, which is building the development, is planning to construct a further 80 houses there next year and will soon be taking bookings for that phase.
That will finish the estate and bring the total number of properties to 400. Astra is now producing between 70 and 80 houses a year in Cork, more than any other builder in the country, according to selling agent Dan Howard, who will have another development coming up in Carrigaline soon.
The most recent phase at Forest Hill, comprising three-bed and four-bed semi-detached homes and four and five-bed detached properties, was released two months ago, with most of the cheaper properties selling first.
The last house available in this phase is a three-bed semi-detached with a floor space of 1,237 sq ft and is priced at €270,000.
The A3-rated properties have pre-schools, national and secondary schools nearby, as well as local hurling, football and rugby clubs.
The beaches at Myrtleville, Fountainstown, Robert's Cove and Rocky Bay are just a short drive through the Cork countryside, as are the Ringaskiddy ferry port, the Jack Lynch Tunnel to the city centre, and Cork Airport.
