Cois na Mara, a development of family homes in Bettystown, benefits not only from its seaside location - buyers of the three-beds who will need extra space at a later stage can transform the conversion-ready attic into another room.

There are 17 houses in the first phase of Cois na Mara, which was launched last weekend, and there will be 88 homes in all when the scheme is finished.
Prices start at €237,000 for a three-bed semi-detached property, which measures 1,113 sq ft, and at €265,000 for a four-bed semi-detached home, which has 1,345 sq ft of living space.
There was one four-bed, 1,560 sq ft detached property in this phase but that has already been sold. The internal open-plan layouts maximise the penetration of daylight through the homes, lending a greater sense of space.
The kitchens are fitted with an integrated fridge-freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher, and the bathrooms and en-suites have power showers, as well as tiling to the wet areas. There are contemporary wardrobes in the bedrooms.

Cois Na Mara is directly across from Bettystown Golf Club and Tennis Club, and is just a few minutes' walk from the beach and the village. The nearest train station is at Laytown, where there is a park-and-ride facility for commuters. Motorists can avail of the M1 motorway to Dublin Airport, Belfast and the M50. Drogheda is about four miles away.
