Two four-bed semis remain in Blackrock
Stamanaran, Blackrock, Co Louth
Stamanaran, the historical name for the townland of Haggardstown, is a 65-unit development in the Co Louth village of Blackrock that first launched almost a decade ago.
The final phase of the Andrews Construction scheme was released a year ago, with two of the 17 properties in that tranche still for sale.
Both of the final two homes are in a four-bed semi-detached style. They measure 1,338 sq ft in size and cost from €249,000.
The block-built homes feature facades in a self-coloured render, with red-brick details and white-framed picture windows with sills made from reconstituted granite. To the front is a cobble-lock driveway, with low-maintenance shrubbery and wooden fencing acting as dividers between neighbouring properties.
Inside, there are shaker-style doors and a fitted kitchen. A painted solid timber staircase with oak handrails leads to the first floor, where there is tongue and groove flooring, four bedrooms (including a master ensuite), and a family bathroom with chrome-heated towel rails.
The attic can be accessed via a pull-down ladder. Downstairs, the L-shaped kitchen/diner with patio doors is to the rear and up front is a living room with a feature fire. There is also a guest WC on the ground floor. The A3 energy rating is provided by roof-mounted PV panels, uPVC windows and an energy-efficient gas boiler.
Stamanaran is located off the Old Golf Links Road. The development is a 10-minute drive to Dundalk train station, from where there are 13 departures a day to Dublin. The capital can also be reached by a 45-minute car journey via the M1 motorway, while Belfast is an hour away.
