Take in views of the Cooley Mountains at The Towers
The Towers, Dundalk, Co Louth
Two and three-bed homes with views of the Cooley Mountains are selling off the plans at The Towers, a Dundalk development being finished off on the site of a since-demolished castle-style residence and gardens built by local businessman Thomas Craig around a century ago.
The Towers is located on The Point Road, directly opposite the Red Barns Road junction. The scheme was left incomplete when the property crash hit nine years ago, but the site was later acquired by local developer Killycard.
Two of the eight properties in the initial tranche have already gone sale agreed. Prices start at €275,000 for a two-bed semi-detached house measuring 1,163 sq ft and at €295,000 for a 1,415 sq ft three-bed version. A larger three-bed semi, with 1,428 of space, costs from €325,000.
Some of the homes have selected stone finishes to the façade, with granite windowsills and slate roofs.
Purchasers can tailor the interior finishes to suit their own tastes and have a choice of internal doors with chrome fixtures, skirting and architrave, wooden flooring, carpeting, wall and floor tiles, fireplaces, kitchen appliances, fitted kitchen, bathrooms and ensuites. Bedrooms come with custom-fitted wardrobes. The homes will have an A3 BER, courtesy of features such as double-glazed uPVC windows and external doors, as well as specialised solar panels.
The Towers is about 5km from Dundalk Train Station, where there is a service to Connolly Station in Dublin that takes one hour and 20 minutes.
The M1 motorway is 5.4km away, while the centre of Dundalk is 4.2km.
