Silverbanks attracts demand with competitive prices
Silverbanks, Baldoyle, Co Dublin
Queues for yesterday's launch of 76 homes at Silverbanks in Baldoyle began to form as early as Monday, with 20 potential buyers sitting on lawn chairs outside the north Dublin coastal scheme by Tuesday morning.
The queues for the second phase of the Nama-funded development prompted Savills, the selling agent for the scheme, to introduce a ticketing system that would enable the interested buyers to return on launch day and still be first in line for one of the units.
Silverbanks is situated on Red Arches Road, just a few minutes' drive from the Velvet Strand at Portmarnock, Portmarnock Village and Sutton Cross. The scheme, which is being built by Kildare contractor MDY Construction for receivers Mazars, will consist of 210 houses, duplexes and apartments when it's completed.
The second phase contains a mix of one and two-bed apartments, as well as three-bed duplexes. Many of the apartments benefit from uninterrupted sea views across Howth, Sutton, Ireland's Eye and Portmarnock, but are keenly priced compared to new apartments in the city centre and south Dublin.
Starting prices for the apartments run from €155,000 for a one-bed, €235,000 for a two-bed and at €280,000 for a three-bed. A three-bed duplex is priced from €280,000. All have fully fitted kitchens and brick-fronted elevations with NorDan windows and doors.
Baldoyle is serviced by the 29A and 32 buses and Dublin City centre is 20 minutes away by Dart. Open viewings at Silverbanks will take place tomorrow and Sunday, from 11am-1pm.
