Parkside releases 20 in latest phase
Parkside, Malahide Road, Dublin 13
A new batch of three and four-bed houses designed with first-time buyers and family trader-uppers in mind has been released at Parkside in Balgriffin beside the 53ac Father Collins Park, which has two playgrounds, a 1.5km running track, playing pitches and fitness stations.
The new phase at Parkside, located off the Malahide Road, consists of 20 properties. More than 200 houses at the Cairn Homes scheme have been sold since it was first launched in the autumn of 2015.
Depending on the house type chosen, sizes in the latest phase range from 1,140 sq ft to 1,776 sq ft, with a variety of styles and internal layouts available. Prices for the three-beds, some of which have roof trusses designed to facilitate future attic conversion, go from €310,000 to €345,000. Starting prices for the four-beds, which have been appealing to families trading up from apartments, range from €370,000 to €400,000.
The Parkside homes have brick façades, complemented by high-performance windows designed lower to the floor than standard to allow more sunlight in. Mature trees and shrubbery have been planted to the front.
Inside are contemporary kitchens with high-gloss doors and a island unit. There are 9ft ceilings and recessed LED down-lighters throughout the ground floor as well as extra storage space throughout.
Energy-efficient features at the A3-rated properties include PV panels to top up electricity supplies and a demand ventilation system that ensures fresh air is circulated around the homes without having to open the windows and risk letting the heat escape.
The St Francis of Assisi and Educate Together schools have received planning permission to develop two new primary schools on land beside the scheme.
The showhouses at Parkside are open for viewing between 2.30pm-4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
