New home view: Make use of the great outdoors in Dublin 16
Parks, mountains and golf course within walking distance of Odin's Way
Outdoorsy types will appreciate the location of Odin's Way - the new Rathfarnham development nestled just off Taylor's Lane is close to both St Enda's Park, once home to Padraig Pearse's school, and the 247ac Marlay Park. Golf enthusiasts among would-be buyers at Odin's Way will just have to cross the road to the Grange Golf Club.
The development of traditional four-bed family homes at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains is being built by Rosemount Properties and has been designed by Rowe McGill, the architects behind The Ramparts apartments in Loughlinstown and Rosehaven in Castleknock.
There will be 30 properties in total when Odin's Way is finished, most of which will appeal to young families upgrading to a larger home. All of them will be four-beds spread out over two-and-half floors, except for a single-storey gate lodge due to be released in a later phase.
This two-bed, 915 sq ft lodge will be constructed at the front of the development, with an exterior finish designed to reflect nearby stone cottages lining Taylor's Lane. One four-bed detached property, also laid out over two-and-a-half floors, will be sold in a future release.
In the first phase, there are five four-beds in a terrace overlooking the green area located to the front of Odin's Way, with prices starting at €540,000. Two were reserved ahead of the launch, so there are currently just two mid-terraced, 1,518 sq ft homes available from the D house type. Also on offer in this tranche is one end-of-terrace, 1,561 sq ft dwelling from the C type.
All the houses in the initial phase have a south-facing garden and patio to the rear. The cobble-lock driveway can fit two cars.
If contracts for the homes are signed and returned with a deposit within 21 days, the kitchens will be fitted with integrated kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, an eye-level oven and microwave, and an electric hob with a polished chrome extractor hood. The utility room will be fitted with worktops and storage presses and will be plumbed for a washing machine and dryer.
The homes at Odin's Way were designed to have an A3 building energy rating.
Viewings at the development will be held between 2pm and 4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
