Just two five-beds left at Thorndale
Thorndale, Delgany, Co Wicklow
Thorndale is aptly named: the development is sited on the edge of Delgany, a fashionable Co Wicklow village that's called after the Irish for "thorny place".
Delgany, which is popular with buyers from south Dublin, is just 2.5km from Greystones and 25km south of the city centre. However, the Garden of Ireland, as Wicklow is known, is the second most expensive county in which to buy a property after Dublin, and the north of the county especially requires deep pockets.
So it's no surprise that No42 Thorndale, one of the last two five-beds at the new scheme, commands a price tag of €630,000. The development's fully furnished showhouse is also on the market, with its €685,000 asking price including the contents. Both 1,970 sq ft houses are among 43 units at Thorndale, which was initially launched a year ago. The scheme is being built by Kingscroft Developments and the two remaining five-beds are each laid out over three floors, with four of the bedrooms on the first level and the master ensuite on the top floor. The accommodation includes a living room with double doors leading to an open-plan kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling and skylight.
The five-beds have an A3 BER and are fitted with PV solar panels and argon-filled uPVC windows. Buyers can commute to Dublin city centre by the N11 motorway or from the Dart at Greystones.
Viewings at Thorndale will be held tomorrow and Sunday, from 2pm-4pm.
