It's a family affair at Beechpark scheme
Beechpark, Leixlip, Co Kildare
Beechpark, a development in the north-east Kildare town of Leixlip, was designed with growing families in mind: each has an attic that can be converted to an extra bedroom or den, there is a crèche and Montessori on site, and Leixlip GAA is close by.
The final release of 15 four and five-bed houses at the scheme is launching this weekend, giving buyers with young families a last chance to purchase a home in the scheme. Most of the homes in this tranche overlook a large green space and all have south or west-facing back gardens.
Buyers who want the option of extending into the attic without any major costly structural alterations can gain at least 475 sq ft of extra space, depending on the house type chosen.
Kilbegnet Developments, which initially began construction at Beechpark in 2005, has added attic trusses to facilitate a future conversion into an additional living space.
The roof structure has also been engineered to create soft spots for Velux roof lights and a staircase. Prices for the latest batch of homes start at €385,000 for a four-bed end-of-terrace style with 1,453 sq ft of accommodation. The semi-detached version costs €390,000 and has 1,426 sq ft of living space, while the five-bed detached styles measure 1,649 sq ft and is selling for €435,000.
The development is a few minutes' drive from the M4 motorway at exit six and there is a train station at Louisa Bridge.
Viewings at Beechpark will take place tomorrow and Sunday, from 2pm-4pm.
