Honeypark abodes come with lake jetty and sports facilities
Honeypark, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin
Activity at the Cosgrave Group's Honeypark development on the grounds of the old Dun Laoghaire Golf Club is reaching fever pitch this weekend.
On Wednesday, rental viewings began for the final units at the Cosgrave-built Neptune apartments and, today, the first sales viewings will be held for a new phase of family houses at Honeypark.
More than 200 homes have been sold at Honeypark since its launch. As part of the final phase, 12 five-bed houses are coming on the market. These are from the Oak design and have 2,325 sq ft of space and starting price tags of €725,000.
Like residents of the built-to-rent apartments, would-be buyers of the houses can enjoy five acres of parkland and features retained from the old golf club. The Cosgraves added amenities such as a feature lake with a jetty, children's playgrounds and playing areas for football, basketball and tennis.
Inside the homes are contemporary timber kitchen units in a Haze finish with Victoria quartz worktops, all from Nolan Kitchens. The bathrooms and ensuites have shower enclosures as well as floor and wall tiling as standard.
Out back, each home has a patio leading off the living area. The rear garden comes with a shed, a service enclosure, a rear access gate and outside lights and sockets for barbeques. Passive house principles have been adopted to reduce the energy demand of the houses.
Commuters from Honeypark can reach the city centre by bus or Dart. Dun Laoghaire is 2km away, while Blackrock is 4.5km. Viewings at Honeypark will start today, from 12pm-2pm, and continue between 2.30pm-4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
