Get a leg up in the bloodstock county
Ferns Bridge, Monasterevin, Co Kildare
Kildare may be renowned for its vast country houses, estates and stud farms, but for first-time buyers in the bloodstock county with a very modest budget, the new release of two-bed townhouses at Ferns Bridge, Monasterevin, might fit the bill - prices start at just €179,950.
A small batch of just four two-beds has come on stream at the scheme, which developer Masonbrook Holdings is close to wrapping up. A kilometre outside the Co. Kildare commuter village, the townhouses, measuring 861 sq ft, are firmly in the starter home category. But the price includes a fully fitted shaker-style kitchen with a cooker and hob, laminate timber flooring to the entrance hall and sitting room, tiling to the downstairs kitchen and wheelchair-accessible WC, and a Stira stairs to an attic that has potential to be converted to a third bedroom.
The A2-rated homes are a five-minute walk from the train station, which serves Dublin, while both the M7 and M9 motorways offer road transport options.
