We may still have the oddest-shaped property market in Europe, but one tenet forever holds true - location, location, location.

This two-bed apartment on Dublin's Mount Street is bang in the centre, not only of town, but within a stroll of the canal banks, hip restaurants and the capital's main shopping areas.

These tall terraced buildings on Mount Street are from the Georgian period - residences of the 18th century's newly emerging middle-class gentlemen's families.
