Rathgar is always very popular with more affluent families given its proximity to good schools, restaurants and plenty of shopping options, along with adjacent villages such as Terenure, Rathmines and Ranelagh.

Everything you might need is pretty much within walking distance, including, if you wish, St Stephen's Green which is a 3.5km stroll.
