Three storey homes in Bracken Park

The final phase at the popular Bracken Park in Castleknock is now on the market. These stylish four and five-bedroom homes are mostly aimed at 'last-time buyers' - the trader uppers who need space and room for growing families but who want to stay put near the schools, friends and amenities where they've settled.

Bracken is sandwiched between Blanchardstown, Castleknock and Clonsilla, off the Carpenterstown Road, so it is very central to both the hustle and bustle of the town centre and the peace and quiet of the Phoenix Park.

There are three styles on offer in this mixed development: four-beds, four-beds with a study which are over two storeys, and a number of five-beds which are built over three floors.

Kitchen/diners are similarly styled in all with a large square space, quartz-topped island unit/breakfast bar, dark wood cupboards, sky lights and a full range of appliances fitted.

There are French doors leading to the rear garden and a utility room also.

As with any development by Cosgraves, there is attention to detail: solid oak internal doors, a smart spindle staircase and the housing of the water tank outside leaves for more room in the airing cupboard and no chance of leaks, along with a top A2 energy rating. The exteriors are finished with granite sills and clad in dark red-brick with cream feature windows.

There are cobbled driveways with low maintenance shrubbery rather than front gardens and the site has a playground and a number of greens. In fact, the entire development is echoed in its sister build at Honeypark in Glenageary.

The four-bed is 1,712 sq ft and priced from €630,000. It has the stair in the centre of the house and four double bedrooms, one ensuite.

The four-bed with study is 1,851 sq ft, priced at €665,000 with the study on the first floor, while the large five-bed measures 2,315 sq ft with a big extra "entertainment room" on the first floor, which is larger than the living room below it.

Two beds are on this level also with a bathroom, while the other three (one ensuite) are up top along with another bathroom.

These remaining units will sell from €735,000.

Viewing is tomorrow and Sunday from 2.30-4pm.
