The custom is for the owners of a property with panoramic sea views to name the house after the vista. 'Sea View House', for instance, is an obvious choice.
Swallow House, at Nemestown, near Kilmore Quay in Co Wexford, is named after a common songbird instead. Still, the views of the sea from the house are something special, even when they are interrupted by one or two swallows gaming trying to make a summer.
It's a detached six-bedroom house on six acres of flat, treeless land stretching right down to the coastline and there's nothing to get in the way of the view, which extends as far as the Saltee Islands.
Inside, the house is 2,700 sq ft in size and there are good views from many of the rooms. It's a dormer, with six bedrooms on the first floor, of which four have en-suites.
Down on the ground floor, past a double-height arched window over the stairs, there are several reception rooms for relaxing and entertaining - and even for working, as one of the rooms is an artist's studio.
There's also a home bar, for when the occupants are feeling too lazy to walk the two-and-a-half kilometres to one of the village pubs in Kilmore Quay.
The other reception rooms consist of a bay-windowed sitting room with an open fireplace, and a dining room and conservatory linked by French doors.
The kitchen has an oak floor and an Aga cooker, and there's a separate utility room linking the kitchen to the garage that adjoins the house.
The gardens include lawns and shrubbery and a patio to the south. Wexford town and Rosslare Harbour are both about 20 kilometres away.
