Ryan Tubridy's €1.275m Monkstown home he shared with Aoibhinn up for sale
RTE star Ryan Tubridy is selling the luxurious love nest he shared with his ex-girlfriend Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain.
The couple – who were on and off for four years before calling it quits last December – lived in the spacious Monkstown house together from 2013.
Tubs bought 5 Brighton Avenue in the affluent sea-side suburb for €1.15m two years ago, but now wishes to downsize.
At the height of the property boom, the Victorian end-of-terrace house sold for the princely sum of €2.5m.
The house has three storeys and features a country-style kitchen, a den and a bedroom in the basement.
On the first floor there are two reception rooms and an office.
There are three bedrooms on the third floor, including the master bedroom, which is ensuite and has views of the sea.
For the most part the house is designed in neutral tones but as these pictures show, Tubridy’s love of the 60s sneaks through with a picture of Jackie O above the fireplace and a framed Beatles Abbey Road album cover.
The one downside for prospective buyers is the lack of designated parking.
The 2,600sq ft property is on sale for €1.275m through Michael Turley.
Known for his love of walks by the sea, it’s believed the Late Late Show host wishes to stay in the area and be close to the Dart line.
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old has also recently moved from 2fm back to his old stomping ground on RTE Radio 1.
He presents the 9am slot recently vacated by John Murray and told the Herald he wasn’t surprised at the move.
“I’m not going to lie to you, that I’m shocked by the move, it fits my thing,” he said.
Ray D’Arcy is expected to start his new Saturday night show in the coming weeks and Tubridy admits there’ll be a touch of rivalry.
“It’s a competitive world, we all want to do our best,” he said.
